Joshua Mccown, OD
Dr. Joshua McCown, O.D., was born and raised in Washington State, growing up in the small town of Poulsbo. He attended Western Washington University where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. He then had the opportunity to move to the great state of Texas to attend the University of the Incarnate Word – Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio where he graduated with his Doctorate of Optometry.
During optometry school, he completed two private practice externships in Lubbock and Carthage, where he fit specialty contact lenses along with diagnosing and treating ocular disease. |
Margaret mccown, od
Dr. Margaret McCown is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist with a strong foundation in medically-based eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Southeastern Louisiana University and went on to graduate with honors from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas.
During her training, Dr. McCown completed externships in both private practice and military settings. Her clinical interests include ocular disease management, contact lenses, and refractive surgery co-management. |
Both Mr. & Mrs. Dr. McCown are licensed by the Texas State Board of Optometry as Optometric Glaucoma Specialists and are members of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
They enjoy hiking, camping, and spending time with their two kids, and golden retriever, Ginger.
They make sure patients get all of their questions answered, and each patient leaves with a smile.
